The ABAP Forum for opinion, comments and feedback
As a member of ABAP this is the place to air your views and opinions and comment on the opinions of others.  Whilst anyone can read the postings, only members of ABAP can post messages to the forum or initiate new topics for discussion.

As a result of legal advice received recently it should be noted that no topic dealing with or mentioning personal financial planning can be posted on the forum.  To date the subject has not been within the Association's remit and any posting that makes reference to the subject will be removed.  This is for the protection from liability of the Webmaster and possibly the Association also. 

Registration for the forum is completely separate from other parts of ABAP.  To register you must select a username and a password.  Both must be unique within the Forum membership and therefore your first selection may be rejected if someone has already selected that name. 

Your username may, of course be your real name or a completely fictitious name - pseudonyms are something of an Internet forum tradition.  If you use a pseudonym your real identity will be known only to the Webmaster.  Whichever you choose, please complete all sections of the form.   "None" will not be accepted as a response for any section and may result in your chosen username or password being blocked.   

More importantly, whatever username you choose, you are personally responsible for the views expressed and the language used.  All legal and moral rules apply here just as they do to any other media and if required to do so by a Court of Law, the Webmaster is bound to reveal your true identity. 

Please note that only fully paid up members of ABAP may post articles or comments on the forum and all applications for access are first checked by the Committee to confirm their eligibility.  This may take a few days.  Please be patient.

Finally, the Forum is presently unavailable due to technical issues caused by the move to a new host.  Applications for access will he held pending a decision whether to have the forum activated or move the facility to an alternative medium.
